SOURCES OF WATER

 Water naturally exists in three sources: water, groundwater and surface water.  Surface water is water on the surface of the planet such as in a stream, river, lake, wetland, gold occan.  It can be contrasted with groundwater and atmospheric water.  Non-saline surface water is replenished by precipitation and recruitment from groundwater.  It is lost through evaporation where it becomes groundwater used by plants for perspiration abstracted by mankind for agriculture, living, industry etc. or discharge to the sea where it becomes saline.  (Young and Bredehoeft, 1972) and (Fetter, 464).  Natural surface water can be increased by importing water from another water channel.  The World's Water 2006-2007 Pacific Institute Tables Groundwater is the water located in the world.  rock formations.  A unit of rock or an unconsolidated deposit is called an aquifer when it can yield a usable quantity of water.  The depth at which soil pore spaces or fracture and void

Groundwater is the water located in the world.  rock formations.  A unit of rock or an unconsolidated deposit is called an aquifer when it can yield a usable quantity of water.  The depth at which soil pore spaces or fracture and void in rock become completely saturated with 10 water is called the water table.  Groundwater is recharging from and eventually flows to the surface naturally.  Natural discharge often occurs at the springs and seeps and can form oases or wetlands.  Groundwater is also used for municipal and industrial purposes by construction and operating extraction wells.  The study of the distribution and movement of groundwater is hydrogeology, also called groundwater hydrology.  (Richard., 2005)
 Rain water is naturally the purest source of water but it is absorbed from the atmosphere, it is composed of Chloride, Nitrate, Sulphate, Sodium, Potassium and Ammonia.  The concentration can vary from 0.1 to 10 uglml.  The most important source of water for drinking (Walter, 1996).  In the water cycle, precipitation occurs in the water cycle (Nsi, 1997).  Although during rainfall, these gases, such as CO2, CO, N2, NO2, SO2 and other gases, are present in the atmosphere.  Dissolution of these substances in rainwater compromises the natural purity of rainwater.  One reaches the earth's surface (House croft and constable, 2006) ...ORIGINALLY WRITTEN BY FREEVIBES.COM.NG
